About

About Me

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent over a decade working closely with children, parents, and families in educational and community settings. These experiences shaped my understanding of how relationships, culture, family systems, and life circumstances influence emotional wellbeing.

As both a therapist and parent, I understand that life is rarely as simple as the advice we receive. My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to help you understand yourself more deeply so that meaningful and lasting change can emerge.

I offer therapy in both English and Farsi and welcome individuals from diverse cultural, family, and neurodivergent backgrounds.

How I Work

My Approach

I work from a relational, psychodynamic, and attachment-based perspective. I believe that many of our struggles make sense when viewed through the lens of our relationships, life experiences, culture, and nervous system.

My approach is collaborative, curious, and compassionate. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, we work together to understand what your anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, or emotional reactions may be trying to communicate.

Depending on your needs, I may integrate elements of:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Attachment-Based Therapy
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Somatic and Nervous System-Based Approaches
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Solution-Focused Therapy

I believe therapy should be tailored to the person sitting in front of me, not the other way around.

What I Help With

Areas of Focus

Wherever you are in your journey, therapy can meet you there. These are some of the areas I most often support.

  • Parenting & Family Life

Parenting can be deeply meaningful and incredibly challenging at the same time. I support parents who are navigating emotional overwhelm, behavioural concerns, co-parenting challenges, family transitions, and the unique experience of raising neurodivergent children.

  • ADHD, Autism & Neurodivergence

I work with neurodivergent individuals, parents, and families seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. My approach is neuroaffirming, strengths-based, and grounded in compassion rather than correction.

  • Anxiety & Emotional Overwhelm

Anxiety can show up as overthinking, perfectionism, self-criticism, people-pleasing, irritability, or feeling constantly “on.” Together, we explore both practical tools and the deeper roots of anxiety.

  • Women & Identity

Many women find themselves carrying invisible emotional loads while caring for everyone else around them. Therapy can provide space to reconnect with your needs, boundaries, values, and sense of self.

  • Life Transitions & Immigration

Major life changes can bring uncertainty, grief, and questions about identity and belonging. Whether you are adjusting to parenthood, career changes, relationship shifts, or immigration experiences, therapy can help you move through these transitions with greater clarity and support.
